Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality education to underserved rural communities in Punjab, with a focus on empowering students to reach their full potential. We believe that every child deserves a chance to receive a quality education, regardless of their socio-economic background. Through partnerships with Laxmi Tara Public School and surrounding communities, we aim to improve the quality of education in rural Punjab by providing teacher training, technology resources, and academic support. By doing so, we hope to inspire a generation of learners who will become agents of change in their own communities, contributing to a brighter future for all.

Core programs

Infrastructure:
With a steadily growing student population of over 1200 children, the school is in need of new, improved facilities. Our infrastructure initiative targets classroom development both through expansion and classroom improvement.

Financial:
Our financial transformation initiative aims to lower financial burdens on the school by establishing sponsorship infrastructure and providing scholarship opportunities. The core purpose here is two fold: first, to free up financial inflows so that money generated can be used for development rather than short term obligations like tuition subsidization, and second, to establish  incentives and relationships around scholarship and sponsorship.

Operational:
We aim to revamp school operations by restructuring the administration, attracting and developing more teaching / mentorship talent, updating the school curriculum, and integrating technology into the teaching process, performance tracking, and intra-school communications

Why Laxmi Tara Public School?

Family history – LTRP and Vidya Found are sister organizations founded by the Yadava family. Investing in LTRP puts us in the unique position of having total control of an influential, high-growth, high-potential educational institution in rural Chandigarh. Vidya Found has passion for and a personal relationship with this community, making its mission that much stronger.

Growth and influence – The school has grown from ~10 to ~1200 students over the past 3 decades, becoming an increasingly core part of the rural Chandigarh community. LTRP has done this while maintaining its non-profit status and its general financial health. The school needs a capital injection to allow it to break out of the current hand-to-mouth cycle in which it is only able to meet the immediate obligations and expenses for operation.

Financial self-sufficiency – the backbone of a successful nonprofit organization is its financial health and ability to function with or without additional money. By relying on their own resources, LTRP is able to fulfill its mission, sustain its programs, and have control over their future.

Any donations from here on out are going to affect positive change in this school and raise the living standard of the community.
